To be fair - he is from Belgium.

His grasp of the english language is probably letting him down. It's my understanding that you can't have a kitcar registered in Belgium.

BUT

they can import already built kitcars. In fact our P'boro owners club has 3 belgium members who regularly visit.

I would say he's interested and is trying to check out the regulations his side of the water first.

Sending him a copy of a V5 isn't going to entitle him with 'ownership' or any such thing - especially as you have the original.

It sometimes pays to ask further questions than to naturally assume all people are out to rip you off ;-)

Just my 2 cents..

As the previous post stated, he prob wants to know if the car is registered correctly and not a ringer, for import purposes.. if he knows anything about kitcars he is maybe aware that some dodgy characters try to transfer an older kitcar's info on to a new build and get away with it.

I would want to be sure that it had been tested correctly and was safe, i guess thats why we all work hard and do it properly!

When I was selling mine, I had a large amount of questions from Beligum based buyers.Trouble was them coming over in time to view etc etc.
1st come with cash.1st served. It went very quickly.

..Which was nice..

Likewise actually - I've just sold my Locost (Mk2 Escort) on FleaBay and was often asked that question from foreign buyers.

Didn't get brilliant money in the end but sold to an English buyer, hopefully he'll pop up on here one day!
