Home Made Airbox

Couldn't fit the standard box under the bonnet, so I made my own from Aluminium, and bought the new Carbon fibre airfilter canister from Car Builder Solution, air is taken from a collector in the nose cone.
Worked out cheaper than a foam filter, but don't know what the perfomance is like yet.
I'll keep you posted.

Looks like a good idea Steve. Will be hard to gauge performance without back to back testing but Id be very interested to hear.

How loud is it? Thats my one big gripe about a foam filter just too loud, I prefer to hear exhaust rather than intake.

Have only just fitted it, and my exhaust is not on at the moment, as I'm fitting the CAT for the SVA.
Should be firing it up in the week, so I'll let you know.

Went for SVA yesterday, and the car ran great, the Airbox seemed to do the trick.
Noise level was 95db, and that was with half of the 30" can full of CAT.

Well pleased.

Steve.
