does anyone know if a 1997 919cc fireblade airbox will fit 1993 893cc model? its just theres one for sale & i want to get the noise down for trackdays

Careful. If you're running a foam filter at the moment the chances are you've got a dynojet kit or similar on there, in which case some air holes will have been bunged up as part of that installation in the carbs. If you put an airbox on when this has been done, it can (as I was told when at Holeshot racing a while ago) cause it to not run correctly with an airbox on, due to the different airflow characteristics.

I don't know the ins-and-outs, just what I've been told by people that should know

Yep all the 93-99 airboxes Ive seen are the same.
