Its not too late to ask Santa for some enthusiasm for a Xmas Pressy

Its bloody cold out there... Buy of make a decent heater for the garage, get an old Radio (car or mains) and get some music going..

If you are warm with some decent music, Radar Love type of thing...

You will get your enthusiasm going.

Try to do a little, every day or every other day. Even if its rubbing adown a bracket and priming it, then painting it the next day type of thing.

Little and often will help get the job done.

You have time now to get it sorted for the spring / summer. Dont leave it till the last minute and rush it.

OR... I will give you £500 for it as it stands

1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

If you don't get started I will beat you with my Zetec conversion.

My enthusiasm is coming from the fact that I have some spare time so can make real progress at the moment. And it gets me out of shopping, washing up and eating too much over Christmas.

Just remember that if you don't work on it now, you will be working on it during the sunnier days in spring. You won't be able to turn the clock back then and will wish you had tried harder.

COME ON MAN!!! GET ON WITH IT!!!

Summer's here!!!!

DO NOT GIVE UP!!!!!

Trust me, we have all hit one of these phases at one time or another but it's worth the effort to have 10,000 RPM at your disposal - every time i take mine out i am grinning like a fool for an hour afterwards.....

Sit looking at the car and make a list of all the tasks left to do,no matter how insignificant and then just hit one job at a time even if it's a niff naff one. Then cross it off the list - it will soon encourage you to crack on as the list shrinks....

Well, it worked for me

Good luck,

Rich.

I know the feeling... I haven't really done anything on mine for about 4 months now, ever since I put an offer in on the new house with a big garage. Now that I've moved I'm hoping I can get back at it and be SVA'd for summer.

Think of the sunny weather track days and get it finished!!!

My conversion took me 3 1/2 months start to finish, including welding outside in the snow as there wasn't room in the garage to make the mounts!

Summer will be here soon.....

If you don't get it done, I'll come along in the night and borrow your kit for a very long time

It must be a Didcot thing, this side of the A34 we've not stopped working on ours (see pic below) just being hampered by the lack of Ali at the mo.

I'll try a target, it would be good to get 5 cars to a local meet by June

ATB Dan.

No problems - just need a dry-ish day. Went out on Christmas Day a couple of times and it was very greasy - had a few moments. Needed to regulate the divers boots and take it a little steadier.

I am around until the 2nd then back to work, so it would need to be a weekend after that.

Cheers

Martin

Toady1 (Liam)

We are in the process of sorting a meet in Northants on Sunday at 1pm. Check the thread:

http://www.locostbuilders.co.uk/viewthread.php?tid=57704

I'll be taking the MK if it isn't raining, so we can sort your "billy run" if you fancy it?

Let me know.

Cheers

Martin
