I use one of those alloy jobbies with slightly longer stainless dome heads going through the bodywork on the side of the scuttle, its a 15 minute job too change the tax disc but its only once a year, don't think I have a pic.

I bought a tax disc holder for a motorbike, then attached it to the upright section just inside the passenger side with a bit of velcro.

Not a permanent fixture, but much easier to take off and put in my pocket!

If you need, let me know and I can supply a pic.

Between the seats on the rear bulkhead. Three longer bolts are used to secure it. Picture here

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

Here's a bit better pic, also shows current state of play with rebuild, decided too fit a new panel on the passenger side, bit more work but worth it....... Rescued attachment tax.JPG

I use a motorbike type holder, bolted onto the near side of the dash panel facing the passenger. Probably not SVA friendly though, and I think technically they might be supposed to face forwards? Ah well
