Fireblade redline
I've got a 94' fireblade engine and dials from what I was told was a fireblade (they fit the loom and are honda). The query I have is what
should the redline be? The clocks say the red starts at 14,000 and the limiter comes in at about this point. I've seen the clocks on a blokes
blade at work and his red starts at 11,500!!!.....I may have the wrong clocks!

Limiter kicks in at 11750 on the blade, red line starts at 11,000 on my blade clocks (99 RRX)
Sounds like you might have CBR600 clocks.

If the clocks are wrong though, you are probably getting an incorrect reading of the revs. I doubt very much whether a stock blade engine would go to
14k without going pop, and if it did, dont try it again cos it will!

Used to have a Honda Hornet 600 that redlined around 13500 rpm. That used a detuned CBR600 engine. Would think the newer CBR600s would redline around
the 14 grand mark but the Fireblade is definitely lower as Chris says. I'm surprised the blade even fired with the wrong ECU.

I have heard of people using the CBR600 ECU for upping the rev limit on a blade, but I wouldnt want to do it personally, and on a stock engine the
power is tailing off before 11k anyway, so pointless revving it much past that.
