Typical oil pressure for 'blade?
Whilst looking at some of the datalogging from the Anglesey track day looking at my oil pressure plots. I've really no idea what sort of
pressures these things run. At full chat it was pushing just over 100psi, dropping to 60ish when backing off then down to 25 or so at tickover.
I know the 60ish is about right, I seem to recall reading in the haynes that the oil pressure test is to get a reading of about 60psi at 6000rpm.
Just wondered if the upper readings were anything like right, or whether I've got some resistance in my earth?
Does anyone know what pressure the release valve is on a 'blade?

All the blades I had used to record about 5.5bar under decent load, which is about 80psi. 100psi is a bit high as the PRV should kick in before that
and release pressure, so you may have a sticky PRV (in the sump), but more likely Id say your gauge is over-reading as 25psi hot idle is way too high,
should be nearer 10-12psi.

Thanks guys. It's a '94 engine I think (893cc). I suspect I've got some resistance in my earth it was kinda cobbled together
quickly before the track day. I'll setup a better link then try the 6000rpm test and make sure I get a low hot tickover reading.

I saw from some of your pics in the archive that you have a Digidash? If so, the senders are especially sensitive to the quality of the earth and a
lot of people have found they need to physically earth the sender itself to get a good reading, even though the component it's screwed into
(engine block etc) is well earthed.
