BEC friendly insurance

Well suprisingly I'm not going to go with Adrian Flux after they've quoted my comp insurance of £334 (incl breakdown) this year for my garaged £5000 3000 miles per annum BEC!!! Especially when I've got 6 years NCB. I think it might be connected with the fact that they've put be down as no NCB(!).... but who else is good??

Sureterm
FJ

any others????
cheers,

Ben

Just renewed mine with A.Flux, cost me £239 (with recovery), saved £25 because I'm a BEC member.
They don't take NCB into account, I don't have any as I have a company car.
What does make a difference is if you tell them you may use it for work or want additional drivers on it, and any speeding fines ( I have 2 that count)

Jeez! I've never had any points, it's for pleasure only, no extra drivers etc etc....

I'll give B Portwood and Roadsure a bell!!!

cheers

Be sure to play them all off against each other. Chances are, Adrian Flux will match the lowest quote you get.......

All our initial renewal notices from Flux increase year on year. We just ring round half a dozen or so, get the cheapest quote we can and then go back and tell them we've found a cheaper quote and that unless they at least match it, we'll be taking our business elsewhere.

Needless to say, the actual price we've paid for our insurance policy has decreased year on year.

Phil

Does anyone find online quotes work out higher than if you ring and speak to them?

Just tried the online quote system @ Roadsure.

No convictions, garaged overnight etc, don't live in *that* bad an area etc etc.
£560!!!!!

I must be doing something wrong here!!! Either that or they've decided that GPs are a load of muppets and they're doubling the quotes!!!

From previous quotes, we have drawn up a list of insurance companies, who we have found to be competitive. From cheapest to most expensive they are;

Adrian Flux
Sureterm Direct
Footman James
Roadsure
Graham Sykes

Obviously the quote depends on your personal circumstances but I'd at least get a quote from all the companies above. I'd also prefer to speak to them instead of letting them quote me online.
