The Radical Clubsport I help prepare has been tuned with a small capacity increase to 1400cc, head work and a mild set of cams. The aim was for driveablity rather than outright power. That achieved 201 BHP @ 10.5K and 115 lbs ft @ 6K to redline. I've recently seen a dyno from a Powertec 1580cc engine and that was only about 10 BHP mor peak with similar torque figures.

You can find the engine prep details and race reports on the following site. Look for the 2007 race diary parts 1-4.

www.mtcracing.co.uk

Otherwise for head work you want to speak to Roger at Sabre Heads (sabre-heads.co.uk) who can advise you depending on any specific needs. Increasing the capacity adds a lot to the tuning cost so maybe stick to head and cams. The timing chain needs upgrading with high lift cams and TTS can supply parts to beef up the transmission.

I do wonder how they dyno those engines because our poxy 1400cc can usually keep up with the 1500cc Powertec engine cars round Combe!
