drilling chassis

I thought I read on here a little while ago about not being allowed to drill into the chassis ? is this the case ? I've got an idea for the Ali chassis but I need to drill the chassis ?

i think every person on here has drilled their chassis for rivits,nutserts and general pipe and loom clipping

Yea..

If you want to put a substantial bolt through a tube you would have to weld in a piece of pipe or a bush to avoid crushing the tube when you tighten the bolt.
