Exhaust Re Pack

Hi all

I need a little info

I was at elvington yesterday and they are getting very strict on noise now

102db

my first test was at 102.1 and that was not allowed

I have a blue flame twin port on the car so I just put the baffles back in and went down to 101

Over the day the exhaust got louder and I got black flaged and the exhaust read 107db

This makes me think it's time for a re pack

can you guys give me any pointers on material, suppliers and any tips.

I was also wondering if me heat wrapping the exhaust and the increase of heat making its way to the end can will have killed the end can.

Any help please

Lee

Lee, how did the Daytona lump perform? Mine sounds awesome, but bloody loud (in a garage). I'm still some way off driving mine, but always trying to think ahead. Have you remapped with Tuneboy? I have a standard exhaust box, but have made another box with a car sized CAT in for SVA. have you tried a range of backboxs? I am very intrigued by your build!

Hi Thanks for the exhaust info thanks

As for the engine everyone that hears it says it sounds great
I have the sprint rs engine in at the moment and I have Tuneboy but have just loaded the tunes from the t595 website
and I get alot of popping and banging which means I'm not set up well

I have also had flames on over run which looks cool but not right !!!!!

I think a set up on the rollers will be great the software is very good and you can change everthing in the ecu which is a little complexed for me.
