Engine mount design
Do the bolts normally go straight through the engine cradle into the engine?
On the STM cradle the square section tube is welded onto circular tube that has a polybush and crush tube in it. Then the bolt is attached through the
polybush into the engine. I can't really see any advantage. The other end of the mount is on a big chunky rs2000 engine mount rubber doughnut.
It's not as if the engine is going to be rotating much. Or is it?!?!? Confusing...
I'm re-designing the mount and I can't see why I can't just drill a hole through the square section cradle and put a bolt through it
with washers either side (with a bit of copper slip to allow some initial rotation)..... Is it normal to have polybushes on the engine mount and big
rubber engine mount doughnuts??
Or am I missing something!!

my cradle is bushed where it joins the chassis and bolts to the engine solidly through welded tubes on the cradle.
I believe that MK solidly mount to the chassis aswell as the engine without any vibration problems that i have heard of, so your rubber mounts could
go without issue
