fireblade pump no fuel

hi all
today ive been taking off my facet pump setup and going back to the orginal blade pump set up.

all wired up ign live and earth pump does work well makes buzzing noies but it wont suck any fuel from the tank.

car got plenty of fuel tried both pipes on pump because i not sure which ones which,
put the facet pump back on tempory plenty of fuel being pumped out.

any suggestions maybe the pump is blocked ??

Have you tried priming the pump. Bike pumps don't like sucking air. Try connecting up the feed pipe to the tank and the delivery pipe to the pump. Then disconnect at the carb end and suck!

Once there is fuel at the pump it should be OK.

or do as i did. take the vent pipe off the tank, attach another bit of tube and blow into it.

tastes much nicer than a mouthful of petrol and vapour.
