Diameter of R1 intank fuel pump
Can someone tell me what size hole is needed in the tank to fit an R1 in tank pump.
Also the outer diameter of the mounting flange on the pump itself.
It is for an '05 engine but I think all the injection pumps are the same.
Cheers
Stu.

I am looking into fitting the R1 in tank pump instead of the external Bosch pump. More for simplicity really as the Bosch pump takes up a lot of room
and the pipe runs to the tank look like there going to have to be quite long when a filter is fitted. The pipes will then have to be held up out of
the way.
It would be easier to fit the R1 pump in the tank and have one pipe from that to my copper pipe feeding the injector rail.

You'll still need a return that goes back to the pump i believe.
Will measure tomorrow for you.

I have the return pipe going to the tank. I was just going to block the return off at the pump.
