R1 Parts

Hi,

Does anyone know of an online part supplier for r1s? The throttle bodies on my new engine are damaged so i need 2 new plastic tops and i need a new throttle body (just the metal casting not any of the injectors etc)

Cheers

Im over the other side near Hinckley. Mine is going to be a standard setup on a 2003 5pw r1 so will be using all the original stuff with the addition of a power commander.

Was just a bit gutted earlier when i went to do some work on the engine took the bodies off and found they were dammaged

No, not for parts such as that. You'll need to ring (yes, ring!) your local Yamaha dealer if you want to buy them new, otherwise have a search round for breakers - there is one that specialises in R1/R6's but I can't remeber what they're called. I'd recommend having the part numbers to hand. You can buy a cd with the factory manuals and microfiche's from here: -
