Prop centre bearing position

Another Sprint last weekend, another record and another reverse gearbox rebuild due. Since I've been running slicks, constant troubles that were a pain in the buttocks are now downright dangerous. I've had enough, there's now a 2 week gap until the next event, I'm going electric. Before I place the order for the props and centre bearing, Bailey Morris want to know where I would like the bearing.
PLEASE could I have any pearls of wisdom out there, where do I want the bearing? Do I put it kinda where the centre of the reverse gearbox sits at the moment? or is there any advantage in putting it where either of the ends are on the 'box, or another place altogether?
To all intents this is a Westfield MegaBusa - actually a GSXR750 powered thing, but no real difference in layout (just a little less torque). Goes well though!

Have a look at www.megabird.co.uk and you'll see some pics.

Centre bearing was about where the reverse box was.

Cheers

Mango - I'll get back to you if I decide to part with the reverse gearboxes, major input to that end will be the success of the electrickery and two piece prop.
I've two boxes, the one that's just pumped its oil down the tunnel and trashed another rear bearing (if feels rough anyway, unit's going in the post for a rebuild tommorrow) and the Westfield (factory fresh) rebuilt that'll inevitably go the same way soon. I also have new/spare propshafts for the engine-box and TRT box-Sierra.
Decided to weld the bearing assembly in the middle of where the reverse box mounts sit at the moment, so Bailey will get those measurements tommorrow..
