I need a fuel pump for the Blade
Hi All!
My fuel pump died yesterday. I was lucky to have a spare one with me thanks to Jon but now I need a replacement. Where would you source it from and
how?
Sorry to bother with this one but I'm very new to this all (even new to the country) and I'm totally clueless. I suppose I could get one
from a garage but I thought I'd ask you just in case there's a smarter way.

Is it a bike fuel pump, or a car fuel pump with a regulator? If it's a bike fuel pump, any largish bike fuel pump should do. I got a 750
kawazaki fuel pump from a local scrappies for £15. I've been assured just about all bike fuel pumps work the same.

Sorry Alister, forgot to mention it's a bike fuel pump, for a Fireblade engine..

Yep, I too have a Fireblade (99), only some (very few - not sure of the years) fireblades were fitted with fuel pumps, and some people use a car fuel
pump on their blade. The only problem is that a car fuel pump is far too strong for a blade carbourettor (it's used to a gravity feed) - so
folks either use a bike pump (much weaker) or a car fuel pump and a regulator so it doesn't swamp the carbs with petrol.

That's interesting because the motorbikes I've had in the past didn't have a fuel pump and I didn't even know they existed
until I got the Locost. And now not only I know they exist but also I've had to replace mine!
