Colour Tune

I was thinking of getting a colour tune to check the idle mixture on my Zetec.

Are they any good, and if so what bits are needed for it to work on a Zetec?

Thanks

Stu

I've used one on an XE, but as said, it's a bit of a frig about with DOHC plug holes, you do get a big long extension bar for the plug lead so it's possible.

I've got a wideband lambda now so it's redundant really.

TBH for idle mixture I found it easier to just read the plugs, but i wasn't trying to be precise. If you are, you need a wideband really. Still it's interesting to actually SEE the combustion process!

I used one on my ST1100 and was pleasantly suprised how good it was at getting the mixture right. At SVA and when I got it dyno'd @ TTS they didn't need to adjust the idle mixture at all.....
