Slicks on westyblade

Hi there

Does anyone run full slicks on a blade powered car?

Any issues?

I have some ready to be fitted on 13" ppepperpots.

I can't see any reason it wouldn't be a great idea.

Why do you ask?

assuming you have a decent baffled sump (ab performance) you should be ok...

I have bought slicks to try - but have been advised by Andy to rig up an oil pressure guage to ensure i am not getting surge with the slicks... shoudl be ok though...

Mark.

Hi obviously you will have to take into account that slicks will need different suspension geometry settings radial/crossply. From what would ussually be on for regular road tyres.

But some searches on the WSCC forum will give you all the info regarding the pro's + cons also tyre presures Ect Ect. It crops up quite regular as a subject on the WSCC forum.

HTH cheers Matt
