What sort of fuel economy do you get from a powerful BEC.

I'm getting 25+ on the road with plenty of right foot. Was about 10 on the track.

dont compare BEC MPG to a tintop on the road, compare it to something that can keep up - supercar mile per gallon is a lot less than 10mpg on
track.
If you are pootling expect to get more like 30-40 mpg, but not much point pootling in a bec mind - kind of misses the point.

i can't get BEC type mpg out of a 1600 pinto however i drive it.
the head design is far superior to any standard car engines and with it comes better efficiency.

anywhere between 10 and 40, dependant on the amount of lead content the shoes your wearing have in them
A pint for the gent and a white wine/fruit based drink for the lady. Those are the rules

Keeping off the Mways helps as the temptation to go above NSL comes in and the (non)aero qualities of a seven really hit the MPG. Strangely I get
better MPG on a good back lane hoon than on the 12 mile jurney down the A3 to work - too tempting to keep up with the outside lane...

Well I get around 16/17 mpg out of mine, and the outside lane has to keep up with me, Cheers Ray
To make a car go faster, just add lightness. Colin Chapman - OR - fit a bigger engine. Chippy

my 98 R1 BEC returns about 30 MPG in normal road use (full throttle to the red line wherever possible). A long A-road run sees over 35 MPG wheras on
the track I get 20 - 25 MPG. Obviously, on the track I drive much faster than is possible on the road.

My Pinto doesn't struggle keeping up with the usual BECs (R1s Blades etc) and if I'm not driving like a tool will easy do 30+ MPG.
