I do like their new bodywork... Quite a lot actually!

Just a shame it's nowhere near symetrical!

You have to consider and allow for the amount of work they have done for you.You should be able to assemble that in a fraction of the the time most locost builds take and dare I say it overall better quality(mine certainly even though I'm proud of it).I've got some popcorn packs in just in case!!

You dont get much, but what you do get is good.

You knew what you were getting... dont grumble or compare - it doesn't matter to anyone else except you.

Nice write up - nice new bodywork, I like it. If I had that sort of money I'd probably do the same. We built ours complete for less than you got those parts for but hey - does it matter? Of course not...

WESTFIELD WRITE-UP

Lovely

Steve

You made your choice, personally, I don't think you'll regret it. I do like the powder coated alloy, my panels were bare and shiny (they're now oxidised and not to nice looking...).
Good luck with the gearbox, if it shows any signs of leakage from the flange seals, get on the phone to the factory ASAP.
Are you fitting a Blade? or anything more unsual?
Mine (was) orange:

and yes, I like the new bodywork too!

What you've spent at the outset you'll have a good chance of 'saving' in depreciation vis-a-vis any of the less well established kits.

these pics are actually from day one,i got the kit in two halves,(only had a small van)i ended up re doin what had been done, the chassis had some work done for an EFI engine, and the brake pipes were routed wrong, and fuel pipes,so i have really started from scratch,(bolt, big washer, upright, little washer, nut etc)now have the next six days of work and think i should have the carpets in for next week,LOL Rescued attachment DSCN1862.JPG

£ 10 k!!??? that is a bit more than £ 250.

There are completed road registered w'fields for sale for £ 7 k but then you wanted to put your own stamp on it.

I don't think you should feel bad, we don't build kits to make money but the opposite, i.e. lose money. But hey, still cheaper than wonem, alcohol and drugs

The only people who make money are those that are paid by someone else to build kits.
