Injection R1 Fueling
Q1/
I have an existing aluminium tank (think its aluminium how do I tell? its pretty light), its un-baffled at the moment, i'm going to be using the
bike pump, will I need to have baffles or will a sump suffice? if it will what dia / depth will I need to make the sump?
Car will be used for sprints, track days, hillclimbs as well as the road so fuel will be moving around quite a bit. 
Q2/
What dia pipe do I need to run for supply and return? I already have one which I think is 8mm well 8mm fuel hose fits it so I'm hoping this will
suffice for the return.

8mm pipe for feed and return is fine (and pretty standard).
Personally I'd want baffles and a sump (or at least baffles!!). A sump on its own will only have the advantage that it'll hold enough fuel
until you stop pulling the lateral Gs.....

cheers benb I'm considering having a new one made and selling my old one on but want to find the locost answer IYKWIM.
Anyone used foam baffles?
Richard K, i'm pretty sure its ali, the only other option would be stainless as its been on the car for about 14 years and there is no sign of
rust. Neither would be magnetic.

This is a picture of the size of sump fitted on my injected zx10r,it was made by Martin Keenan at MK engineering,the tank also had a couple of baffle
plates fitted inside too.
The foam cubes work very well in a tank to stop fuel surge but they are quite expensive,might be cheaper to sell your tank,and have a new one made.

Stainless is normally a bit magnetic, aluminium isn't even a bit.
I work with magnetic resonance scanners, so its something we worry about.
Regarding stainless versus ali, try scratching it with a bit of ali or copper.

cheers for the replies, i sent Martin an email last week for advice / a price but haven't had a reply as yet.
The other thing that concerns me is how much i will protrude under the car, more from a safety rather than aesthetic point of view
