When it comes to the loom- discipline yourself to label *everything*! A year later those 'obvious' connectors will suddenly seem disctinctly
unfamiliar! I know from experience!

only label the loom if you intend reusing it - i'm not and so didn't bother with it, I just cut it all. It could be time consuming to label
it all properly..

Get the back end well in the air and cut the front panel out. It makes it easier to get the engine and box out in one and the rear axle off. The front
cuts out easy enough with a hacksaw. Or you can tip it on its side once the heavy bits are out.

Tom, it was a 92 Sapphire, 1.6l Pinto. Hoping to afford a better engine, so not planning on using it, but I'll take it out anyway to learn, or
in case I can't afford one after kit purchase. No decision on the kit yet, liked the MK and the GTS, but interesed in the MH as he is closer to
me.
Peteff, like the idea of tipping it, but I am really pushed for space so it looks like it'll have to stay level.

task of cutting it up with the angle grinder
Well never mind Paul, it's gone to a better place. How fast is it going to be with 200bhp and none of that excess weight (roof, doors etc)?
Scrappy came yesterday and took the shell away. Took just over 4 weeks to strip it, working about an hour a night during the week. Thanks for the
tips guys. The loom was the thing that held it up a bit, they must put them in first, had to strip much further back than i'd envisgaed to get
it out in one piece (a least it's labelled).
Off with the ne7ers on Thursday for a blat in my mates car, then to Newark to look for a kit!!!
