Hi, new to this game, got the book at christmas and finally decided to get started (the sun has come out and all that) but as there is a distinct lack of escort m2s for donor cars was wondering if any one has heard of a morris minor being used as a donor for engine+gearbox as i have one rusting away in my garage

You can use most anything as a donor for a Locost, but I'd set me sights on something a little more modern. So, flog the mog, buy/acquire a dead Sierra and use that instead.

Or get a MK3/4/5 Cortina and use everthing from that. That way you get your front uprights and rear axle all in one package!

Bear in mind the more you deviate from the book plans the longer the car will take.
