Not been on here for a while but constantly reading the many useful hints and tips...keep up the good work!
I'm hoping someone would kindly ID my front hubs, calipers and wishbones. Ref number for the Hub is Ford URS 71BB 3108 AE. And the caliper is
some sort of m16 ,ref number a bit hard to read but one looks 57R and the other 22R.
The reason for the questions are, the brake discs on full lock are coming in to contact with the bottom wishbone! i'm thinking that something is
not right with the combination set up as the calipers were also spaced off the hub with a couple of 2mm washers and the discs looked bloody close the
hub.
I can post some pics of the calipers and hubs mounted if that helps?

looks cortina uprights, with standard sort of calipers, but vented disc? didn't think cortinas had vented discs... which is why i say
'standard sort of calipers'
are the discs bolted to thehubs the wrong way round? look slike you have washers on there to space the caliper correctly? i wonder if you could turn
the discs round at all...
From the bottom upwards:
The wishbones are probably MK ones.
The calipers are M15 (Cortina) ones.
The uprights and hubs are Cortina. The uprights
were forged in Bromsgrove by GKN Garringtons Ltd.
I was also going to say cortina uprights, but then i don't think you asked that question!
Cortina mk 3,4,or 5 uprights. M16 calipers with spacer kit for the capri vented discs.
Wishbones being bent tube look Mk but thats just a guess ?

So do you think cortinas had non vented discs? This was my thought, that maybe the discs where wrong!
Cortinas didnt Have vented disc's. They where fitted to some capri's, the 2.8 at a guess.
This is the spacer kit that you fit to an M16 for the vented disc's
Excellent, i knew you boys would answer the question.
So, any idea where i can get the kit?

Its already bolted to your calipers.

Mr Wasa is correct; looks like the spacer kit is already installed.

the spacer should already be in the calipers. it widens the opening to allow them to go over the vented discs, instead of the narrower solid discs.
i think you need to remove the disc, flip them round (so the disc sits nearer the wheel, and refit. from your photos, i assume the 3 washers are there
to space the caliper out to the disc? turn the disc round, and remove the washers i think.
not done this myself, but thats how it looks to me.

ok, i maybe starting to get a little confused...not difficult!
I think phelpsa may be right. If the washers weren't spacing the caliper off and i had a non vented disc on then this would give me the space
required to stop the disc touching the wishbone?
If this is the case then do i need to remove the spacer kit and get myself some new discs?
What about if i went down the route of wilwoods m16 caliper? Would i have the same problem?
