Just came across this site, while looking to find out how many of my model of car are registered in the UK, but I was suprised how few Sierra's
are left not looking good for Sierra based kits
http://howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=sierra
good thing that they don't make kits out of cars like TR7 convertible auto, or Bristol 404,...!
Interesting site....
Just out of interest I asked how many Metro 6R4's were left.
259 That's 59 more than were made
Great site.
So there are another 40 106XSi's Sorn'd! Won't become a classic anytime soon then!

There was a Metro 6R4 at the local car meet last week. Worth a lot of Money now.

that a great site pity it does not tell you who owns them
I wonder how he persuaded the DoT to tell him those figures, or give access to the database?

That will only tell you haw many are on the road/Sorn, I would imagine there are quite a few not on the system.
On the other hand there are probably a fair few that are sorned but dont acctualy exist anymore!
Only 97 Rover 800's left on the road. Anyone want to bag a bargain before it becomes 96?

Talking of ones where there are more left than made (or genuine)

How did you get 259? By my reading there are only 8 currently taxed and on the road, and 23 on SORN,...

Now!, they were worth a lot of money then!!!!
The odl man nearly bought one new at £24k and that was "cheap", which was still extortionate in the day

That site is amazing, according to it I have owned two diffrent extremely rare cars.
Mitsubishi Starion - 42 Left
VW Jetta GTi 16v - 38 Left (there were 40 before I got my grubby hands on a couple)
And no Mclarens either.
And I'm sure the King of Bahrain hasn't got them all!

I like that site, I was amazed to find the number of 205 gentry's still about (Considering how har it is to find them for sale). Weirdly there
are two more for this year than the end of last year but I suppose they could be imports.
Didn't someone on here say you could get Sierras much cheaper in Europe where it's harder to register a kit so they've not all been
canabalised?
ive still got my sierra in 1 piece ha ha
wow wonder if that makes my Talbot solara officially a classic then!
might have to start the old girl up and put her on ebay
The current issue of Practical Classics has an article with figures from the DVLA.
Seem to recall there are about 42,000 Sierras.
