This is a little message just to validate my opinion about keeping YOUR kit car building, YOUR OWN business!

My story starts when i purchased my Sierra 2.0 DOHC donor for my MK Indy. I have been taking all the relavent parts off it for a while. But last friday i got a rather happy message from my dad saying he'd gotten rid of the sierra, well he'd thought he'd done me a favour, NOT. The sierra still had the rear diff, the drum brakes and other parts to count on it!!! I rang him saying "Where have you taken it?" He explained it was gone, where?, maybe to the scrap yard? Well all's not lost, i can just go there say there's been a mistake, maybe get the parts back!!! WRONG, try being taken to a crusher and made into a nice CUBE SHAPE!

Well, lessons learnt?? Do everything yourself, trust no one, only you care about your kit car.

that sucks. guilt him into buying you a quaife diff and AP racing brakes.

Yeah good suggestion, everyone i've spoke to seems to be along with that.

And whilst i'm on the subject anyone got any ideas about converting from drum brakes to discs on the rear???

I have both drive shafts, but what do i need to convert, is it the same hub?

Basically everything other than the diff casing and internals is different. It really is easier to get the whole lot off the car.

You've gotta get yourself another Sierra anyway- find yourself a cheap 4x4 on ebay (Mackie and Blueshift paid under £10 for theirs) and get an LSD back end off that.

I though you'd cut a hole in your diff casing anyway?
