www.adtrader.co.uk always has loads of stuff but i confess i have never bought anything in it(i generaly use it to see what the market is like then wait for a buy it now on ebay) but it can sort by distance and price and stuff

I wrote off a K plate 1.8 GLX (CVH) today, 46K on the clock, still with its first owner, FULL ford service histiory, very shiney under the bonnet.

It needs a rear bumper and a tail lamp and a bit of paintwork. I may have a go at getting the salvage, just to prevent it getting crushed. Shame, it looks like a 2 year old car!

got mine off eBay for £40. Looked poo, but did the job.

Try your local car auction - particularly if they have a banger sale. Just remember the buyers premium on top of the purchase price.

Check out these badboys

We got the Sierra (Ghia 4x4 2.8i) off eBay for less than a tenner and the cortina (complete with tax and mot) from an old bloke jon met in a carpark for 100 quid.
It was fun towing the Sierra 35 miles on a rope with my 1.4 rover. Not.

"It was fun towing the Sierra 35 miles on a rope with my 1.4 rover. Not."

its normally the other way around!!

You do realise that that that sierra was very rare!!!

An E-plate Mk1 is a reare beast!.. The MK2 was wholsesale introduced for teh D-mark... So that e-plater would eb worth money in the right circles!!!

TT

Hehe, the floor was creased and the sills rotten. Engine seemed ok though and the rear end will have a nice new home being assaulted with V8 torque.
I expected it to be the phase 2 shape based on it's age though.

That rover gave me little trouble. Only stopped working when the coil got wet but always sorted with a squirt of WD40.
I now drive a Ford

local add-mag, full of em this way, look in "breaking for spares" n offer em beer money for complete car.......

Best if a woman answers phone, she's usually seen enough of the car and says "come n bloody fetch it"

Keep your eyes peeled when you are out and about, you often see them on peoples drives, often they are happy for you to take them away

If you can cope with a long trip there's a free one:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=21654&item=2488257420&rd=1

Can't say cheaper than that! Pity it's 170 miles from you!

Cheers,
James
