commuter bikes and common sports bikes are good money, but it really varies depending on the weather, when its sunny, you sell, when its raining you dont. plus the economy at present is having an effect. You wont get rich put it that way.
from what i can gather its a standard road bike,un damaged, 2003 bike, 21k miles. £2k for the lot. £1200 for bare engine!
scootz.dont tempt me!
You would make money on that it's cheap. You would get 2k for engine package alone.

Even if you only made £500 from the 'bits', then £1500 for a Hayabusa engine and it's ancillaries is still a good deal!
Personally, I would just upgrade your current K. Flog the 1.4 (someone on BlatChat will buy it for decent money), pick up a cheap 1.8 VVC and then
send it to Dave Andrews to be 'breathed' on!
DVA Linky
A K-series and Type 9 will not be a great deal more heavy than a Busa with long-prop and reverse box. Maybe 20-30 kilos??? But it will give
comparable BHP, but bucket-loads more torque.
... and fit some Barnby mag rims whilst you're at it!
put an s2000 lump in it? No emissions at mot time to worry about.
Seem to remember selling the remains of the one I broke for £1100.......
i have been in contact with dave andrews, hes a very nice chap. but the k series mods are very expensive indeed. forged pistons arew required over 180
bhp then decent con rods, throttle boddies, management, etc. very very expensive.
i could drop a vvc in it and fit 52mm throttle body and piper cams with vernies but still wont make massive power.
is there any money braking bikes?
It wears the brakes out using them so I would say no.
Fairings and running gear like front forks and wheels fetch good money if you can find someone who needs them but you will inevitably be selling at
the wrong time and get next to nothing for some of your parts and have bits that nobody needs when you are selling so they are hanging around for ages
getting in the way.
