Hi All,

I have a mad idea to put the complete sub-frame, engine, gearbox etc from a modern front wheel drive production car into the back of my project truck.

This has been done before using parts from a 2 litre Ford Focus.

Any reason why I couldn't use an ST170 Focus?
I would be using the engine, gearbox, sub-frame, suspension and loom.

Any other cars I could look at for the transplant?

St170 is basically the same as a 2L but with a very nice 6 speed CR getrag box, its cable operated too so easy to get the shift working.

Go for it!
