Power Steering

If the donor car comes with power steering and I don't want to use it, then what would I do with the power steering bits for the rack?

Can it be simply disconnected?

Or do I have to go for a non powersteering rack?

Or should I just have a locost with power steering?

Hmmm!

You REALLY don't need power steering in a Locost! I can turn my front wheels from lock to lock with no great effort while the car's standing still, and it's just about at full weight.

It's going to be a dream when moving forward...

So what do I do with the power steering bits anyway?

If it was my car, I'd remove everything associated with the power steering and put a standard Mk2 Escort rack in its place.

I'm pretty sure it would not be a good idea to use a power rack in a non-pas way. The seals around the ram would probably drag quite a bit when they dried out.

dont use a power rack with no fluid going through it,use a manual rack
