Sierra or Cortina

Still trying to decide whether to go for the Sierra or look around for a Cortina.

As far as I can see the Cortina gives me the cheapest option as far as usable parts go, however the Sierra is more readily available.

If I get a Sierra I will have to look at sourcing a back axle or get the De Dion Kit (what do I get in the kit 4 my money??)

Also the front suspension bits wont fit from the Sierra without mods?

Basically I am looking 4 someone to tell me it will be alright and getting a Sierra will not cost me an arm and a leg in extra bits. If it will then I will be better off getting a Cortina (If I can find one)

Help

The Cortina is probably best for a Locost, the Sierra for one of the kits.

If you go for the Sierra you could purchase wishbones and brackets to suit from MK or GTS or similar, and a live rear axle from a Cortina,Capri or Escort for the back, alternatively you could buy the bits seperately from someone like kit-fit or Ian Harwood. This would allow you to build a chassis by the book with out the complexity of alterations to fit either the de-deon or IRS.

Cheers
