Does any one know if the speedo on the ST / RS focus is driven through the ECU or directly from the hall Sensor pickup on the gearbox . A mate has done a transplant into a Series 2 RS but the speedo driver from the Focus is electronic from the box, the RS turbo clock is mechanically driven

The hall sensor feeds both the ecu and the dash. The signal is just split.

Other parts of the dash get signals via canbus.

There should be an electronic sensor that will fit the box from a latter box.
