hi all was wondering what would be the best option for a 2.0 duratec motor

Mazda or ford, pros and cons, best donor with most parts to convert to rwd, maybe something that has a ecu that can be reused without the whole loom needing to come too, also heard some may come with a better option for water rail??

all advised is appreciated so thanks in advance

The ST150 motor is the best to get, it has larger ports in the head, blanked off EGR and also a single mass flywheel.

I used Megasquirt to manage the engine, don't know anyone who has used stock ECU.

if you want real power, the 2.3 ecoboost in the mustang is a turbo duratec as far as i'm aware, same engine as the focus rs as far as my research goes, the mustang version con be got in manual rwd 6 speed, don't know if anyone has tried this engine in a kit car yet
