For the purpose of uprights for kit cars.....Is there a massive difference between Escort MKII and Cortina geometry?

The Mk2 Escort front uprights are part of the front suspension strut (aren't they ?) and the Cortina uprights are double wishbone.

If that's the case I'd imagine it largely depends on how the Mk2 Escort upright/strut is modified to accept an upper wishbone.
