Couldn't decide whether to pop this question in here or in the Indy forum so apologies if I should have asked in the Indy forum
I've been looking into building an Indy, although not until I've saved some money first
However I am thinking about getting the donor car and taking all the bits listed on the donor list on the MK website off it to keep me occupied while
I am saving up.
So at the moment I am just scouting around seeing what sort of prices I'll be looking at for the donor. Which is where I am getting a bit lost.
The MK website says it is built for a 1.6 pinto, but says other engines can be accomodated with small modification.
Basically I'm trying to find out what cars I can actually use, for example would this car be useful or is it the wrong type of engine etc:

If not, what models are the right ones?
I hope that made some sense, and apologies for the very dumb question
Cheers,
Phil
that car would be a fine donor, with lots of pieces to sell on to recoup money. assuming you want a 1.8 CVH engine? you would be best off asking MK how easy this engine goes into an indy.
i has a 1.8cvh donor, and eveything i needed was there - the only exception was rear discs which i wanted. i paid £40 for a j reg one. i reckon the
best (and cheapest) is a local ads paper - just keep an eye open.
while your saving up for you mk, you can spend loads of time getting all the rusty bits shiny for your new toy!
but i tried advertising the bits from the sierra i didnt need, but noone wanted anything, so all im saying, is dont bank on making money selling the
bits you dont need.

I think it would be a 1.8 pinto at that age so it would be an ideal donor. Does it say CVH in the write up and I missed it?
