Hi.

I hoping that someone might be able to help. I have been cleaning my donor parts and I have encountered a problem with the UJ in the half shafts (I think that is what they are called). During cleaning all the old grease out the bearing cap and ball bearing have come out. Looking at the Haines manual they say that these are not serviceable. However, is there a way to get the UJ back together. At the moment I am having trouble getting the bearing cap and ball bearing back into the housing. Any help would be great.

Is it a Lobro joint?

If so, yes you can clean all the bits and put it all back together.

Do a search on Lobro joint.

Not sure if it is a Lobro joint. It's come off a K-plate Ghia sierra.
