What car have you got?

Having just been through this upgrade, you will need to take into account:

Zetec Ignition and perhaps fuelling (depends if you go twin 40s or EFI)
Exhaust manifold (at least it's the same side)
Misc issues in converting zetec to in-line running
Height - the Zetec is quite a bit taller than the 1300 xflow.

sorry new to this, its a locost built to spec (from the book) thought thats what site was (locost?)

How long did it take ? & how did you overcome the high prob?

Not that much in it if you use a tricky sump as well......as for those things you sit in

The site is locost builders but not just for locosts. Covers MK, MNR Leugo etc which were all designed around locosts but different.

You can cover the zetec tallness with higher bodywork and with a shallower sump you can fit it quite low. The 1.8 escort sump is quite a bit shallower than a mondeo one for eg.

As for the seat depends what your after. Covered or non covered. Tritons or MK's seats look good and comfy. Or a nice set of padded cobra's.
