4x4 sierra front calipers

I am thinking of buying a 4x4 sierra for a donor vehicle. I already have a gearbox(type9) and a rear LSD, hubs and shafts.
But i have no front or rear calipers, front hubs or stearing column etc.
Do the front calipers from a 4x4 fit on the normal front hubs, i realise the front hubs from the 4x4 will be no good but the car's cheap so i will pick up the hubs from else where.
I await your advice.

Yes they do fit on the hubs, but the disks will be no good, u need XR4i type disks as they have the correct offset to suit the hubs

In fact you can fit both the calipers and the disc's from the 4x4. The only mod that you will have to make is to pack the caliper fixings by five millimetters, (between the hub flanges and the calipers), then the vented discs from the 4x4 will fit.

IN FACT

Didnt like the idea of spacing calipers out just to make them fit, not when you are more likely to buy new disks to fit onto the car from new anyway?

Thats my piece of the cake, plus the 4i disks were cheaper than 4x4 ones when buying.

It is well worth packing out the calipers, if in the boot of your donor is a box with nice shiney new 4x4 disc's. So I did and the brakes if anything are a bit too good, but as I also used the ABS, which also works fine, I realy don't mind.
