At the stage of pulling information together on donor parts etc for a Westfield SEi to start around April.

Question is, buying second hand front uprights, any particular things I need to look for regarding wear/damage?

Yes.

What uprights does it use? Cortina or Sierra? Or do westfield use their own cast aluminium uprights?

On either of the standard items wear isnt a problem at any point, as the bearings can just be replaced (its not often the bearing seats are knackered).

On the cortina uprights make sure the steering arms arent bent if they have come off a wrecked car.

Really theres not a lot that can be wrong with them!

It uses Cortina uprights, but Westfield do their own as well.

Also sourcing a 1.6 CVH, Sierra 'B' type diff and type 9 box. any tips on these??
