Well, I've decided to do it! I'm going to have a go at building a Locost. I live in Southern Ireland and to say that Sierras are scarce is an understatement. I have come across a '88 Granada with a 2.0l engine and box. The car is complete and has been left off the road due to a leaky fuel tank. Will this do? I am having trouble locating the Cortina hubs etc is there anything else that will do? Thanks for your help!!
I would advise grabbing the Granada and saving as many parts as possible, anything else you can get via e-bay and uk suppliers anyway.
Cheers.
Apart from the 5 stud hubs, the running gear is basically the same as the sierra anyway, so go ahead and use it!
As long as you can use the granada 5 stud wheels it will be fine, all the sierra based kit bits will fit, you can use the sierra "mushroom
adaptors" for the front uprights.

Doh!!!!
My apologies!! Sure I have swapped parts over before but they came from a big pile so must not have been from the granny!
Certainly all the rear hub parts fit.
My bro still owes me a 4 stud hub flange from when he took my Sierra XR4x4 one and fitted it to his 1995 scorpio 24v!
