Got a rear beam from a XR4 (i think) with a 3.62 LSD!
Which pads and discs do i require?
(or whats the biggest i can fit)
Well the XR4 had drums and an open diff so it's not off that
Im sure you mean XR4x4, which used the standard (all Sierras except Cosworth used the same size) 253mm rear disc.

Richie
The 4x4 ghia had solid discs and i think the xr4x4 had vented discs so the calipers are also different - worth checking to see which ones you have.

No xr's or standard sierra's were fitted with vented rears.
Only the cosworth 4x4 (sierra/escort) and granny cosworth had 273mm vented rears (granny being 5 stud remember)
First step is to establish what you've got - xr4i (2.8) xr4i (2.0) xr4x4 2.0/2.8/2.9

Why do you want bigger heavier brakes? You don't need them.
All rear disc sierras have the same caliper except the RS Cosworth 4x4 which has a 273x20mm vented disc the rest have a 253x10mm solid disc. info from
speedways website.
