No, but we used Manta system in car 1 and Nova system in car 2. Can see no reason why not - probably needs chopping down though.
The only disadvantage is that you have bits of metal flailing around under the dash - make sure all wires are properly clipped!!
Mini / Midget system is all enclosed, so none of these problems - hence the popularity.
