I'm from the USA. I'm wondering if what the British refer to a Pinto is like ours?

does your pinto weight as much as the moon ?

pinto is an old ford engine, found mostly in our sierras and transit vans. Sierra is known as merkur on your side.

My understanding is that the American and British pinto's are very similar on the outside but have a few internal differences, don't you guys on that side of the pond also have 2.3 litre pinto's as well?

Our Pintos do have a 2300 cc engine. That's what I plan on using.

I think in the States a Pinto is a model of car. In the UK, it's an engine. Confusing, or what ?

I think this 2.3 pinto was mentioned in recent Totalkitcar, an article on engine building??- and that it was export spec??
