As most of you know 1 and 2 escorts are not as comon as they used to be so what other donors do you recomend?

easiest route is a sierra.

then buy a MK kit or a robon hood 2b kit to use it on.

that isnt actually building a car from scratch ala the book. If thats what you want to do I suggest looking hard for an escort - they are about - or use a mk4/5 cortina instead.
