If the pic works..
Rescued attachment Beast side.jpg
but what's that in your friends pocket??
hehe
Ned.
The old Ford Fairlane LTD.
Is that an 8 or a Six?
Keeping the box (3 speed auto?) or what?
Using the LTD hubs?
The rodders over here often use the falcon (downmarket sibling) hubs. Bit heavier than the Cortina so more unsprung weight, but you get brakes to
match the lump.
What about the diff? gonna make a wide-cost ??
Lots of questions, 'cos I'm thinking of doing just that (using the diff & hubs).
(didn't realise they'd got over that side of the world).

Its the V8 Ford FC LTD from 1983. Not sure when it was imported. I want to use the diff but will probably use sierra front hubs so the car would have
4 stud front and 5 stud rear so may use sierra or cortina rear if they will take the torque..
The trouble is the wider i go the more strengthening i need
Im going to use the auto box to keep it simple... (ish)
Is there much in the way of info over there for them??
Ned my mate saw the engine Nice chrome topped V8

try
http://www.trueblueford.com/
or
http://www.falcon-fairlane-club.org.nz/
you'll find heaps more info if you google for falcon rather than fairlane - most of the running gear is the same (except most are straight six
4.0 litre).
Heaps of stuff in the bookshops - sure I could find you a manual if you need...?
Plenty of parts around here too, but shipping'd be pretty sponny.
