Any one ever used a Supra? Thinking about it and was wondering if anyone can see any problems?
the inline 6 engines aren't going to be an easy fit if they do fit at all...
true, but 4+4+2 will help surely?
Engines are indeed huge, also very expesive to fix if they go wrong..... Cams sit directly in the head, no shell bearings and clever stuff like that....

Is discussed before.
It's to havy but what a lovely engine.
I would take the one with the twin turbo.
And then really kick some ... BEC
I've toyed with the idea of a Supra as well. The newest models (twin turbo) are very rare and expensive.
I did find one on ebay which was "vandalized with a hammer" for about 4500 US (Oh how I wish I had that kind of money laying around) but
besides that, they're 10k+ easily.
The next older (88-92) have a nice motor (7M-GTE), 240hp stock and the bottoms hold up to 500hp with just a bigger turbo and no bottom end mods. The
engines are massively heavy and quite wide and long. I got a model to fit in my little 1/8 scale balsa frame (see avatar!), and made plenty of
drawings, but never got farther than that.
I finally concluded that the best option would be to put one into an Ultima GTR type car. Rear engine, rear drive. Might work better with a lighter
six (BMW? aluminum block?)
Supurb engine though, if you replace the head bolts (7Ms eat head gaskets without tighter bolts)
My plans have changed and I'll probably import a 20v 4A-GE. Lighter, will definitely fit, and they get 150hp+ stock.
