Bet u had to read that title twice!
Just wondering if anyone knows any 'mainstream' cars that have their rear disc calibers mounted in front of the disc.
The main problem of rear mounted calibers seems to be is that the driveshaft seems in the way of the cable.
I noticed Mitsubishi Galant has front mounted calibers= perhaps the same as the Evo i suspect- and pricey
Any advice guys?

AFAIK you can put the Sierra rear hubs on upside down to achieve the same result - at least that's what has been recommended to me!
Chris
provided you are aware that the calipers will have their bleed screws at the bottom, when they should be at the top. You would have to bleed the
caliper off - car with the bleed to the top.

if you put the right caliper on the left and left on right, the right way up wouldnt that be front mounted calipers the right way up?
That was my plan John - dunno if there is some reason why you can't do that (guess I'll find out any day now!)
Chris
thats what i plan to do....
Ned.
Yeah I thought about exchangin them too. The only problem of turning the caliber 180 degree is that the handbrake cable mount will be facing the
wrong way- ie rear facing. Thats why i thought of using front mounted calibers to get round this problem
Of course anything can be modified- thats why we were on here!
chris
jus run the cable round the corner as it were
