I have been to my local scrap yard 2day and they have a complete running escort mk1 1300L they will deliver . Total cost £200 is this 2 much bearing in mind if i get it from somewhere else i.e. a private person i will have to pay for deliverery which will soon put the price up.

have you seen it running? £200 doesn't seem too bad, i suppose. mk1s are getting scarce i guess. provided it works its probably a good start.

If it's a 3 door shell, especially automatic, and in good nick you could probably get rid of it, less running gear, for £200. Chrome bits may also be popular with the classic ford crew.

You can get plenty of Sierra donors for nothing but Escorts are becoming a little hard to come by nowadays.
