Im told the lobro type joints are lighter than bolted ones. Does anyone know how much by?

Do they fit the same shafts?

cheers

lobro are the bolted type.

tripode are the push in shafts and are lighter but i don't know how much by.

someone made some hybrid shafts with different joints at either end, using all standard parts, but i don't know the specifics.

and even then, you can make the lobro setup much lighter than std if you spend some time machining, and its much much stronger

If the lobro joints are stronger by a worthwhile margin then I suppose it makes sense to use those.

I was really only thinking of the unsprung weight on the outside end.

Anyone got and pics etc of machined joints?

Also, where is the cheapest place to source new outers, someone has done the threads on mine with a grinder
